Wygston's HouseWe've had a variety of venues throughout the years, including several cafe's, restaurants and even an art gallery, and our current venue Wygston's House in Leicester City Centre follows this esoteric trend, in the fact that it's one of the oldest house buildings in the whole city, which was originally built in 1490.
It's a lovingly restored building in the heart of Leicester, that can be found next to Jubilee Square, which is a large open green space that is used for special events throughout the year, including a ice skating rink in the winter. You can find us in the Georgian brick-fronted Mayoral Function Room(built in 1796) which can be found upstairs from the bar, which is sometimes obscured by a curtain if the other function room is busy. Besides the historical significance of the venue, it has a fully stocked bar, with various ales, beers, gins and hot drinks, and it also has a restaurant that serves food until 8pm. We meet up every Wednesday from 6pm until 10pm and on average there will be 20-30 people at each event.
