Section 31 is a social group that has been meeting in Leicester in the UK ever since 2010. Our goal is to provide a friendly environment where people can meet and play some of the best board games and card games available. We hold gaming sessions every Wednesday night, at the Mono Vita Restaurant(1-3 Southampton Street), which is 2 minutes walk from Leicester Train Station.
A usual night will consist of 25-30 gamers, all playing a vast array of games, either that they bring to the event themselves or that they choose to play from our Board-gaming Library. This Library consists of many popular card games and board games that have been selected by our members and can usually be played with between 4-10 players, although some of our games can take dramatically more players at once. On average, unless you find yourself in one of our longer games, you can expect to play 3-4 games at each of our events. We always have people on hand to teach you how to play a game, if you're unsure about how a game works.
Each gaming session costs £1 per player which can be paid on the night. Alternatively, you can become a fully paid member, paying monthly via subscription, which gives you access to special members-only events, a membership card and a variety of local/internet discounts. Section 31 is a not-for-profit group and all monies collected will go towards the running costs of the group, with the remainder used to further improve our Board-Game Library.
No matter which version of payment that you choose, your first gaming session with us is always free.
